APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE NEXT SCHEDULED VESL SESSION FOR FALL 2021.

Classes begin November 1, 2021 and end February 14, 2022.  Classes meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with one Monday on November 22nd.

Training is held at RIBA’s Vocational Training Facility, 10 Higginson Ave., Central Falls 02863 (use this address for GPS, 2 Crow Point, Lincoln, RI 02865 we are across the street from Fortune Metals).

The VESL Program is an 16-week basic carpentry career training program for participants who demonstrate intermediate English Knowledge and is designed to prepare job seekers looking for a career in residential construction or upskill current construction workers.  With emphasis on contextualized English as a Second Language Training, participants learn Construction Terminology, Construction Math, Hands-On Basic Carpentry Training, Jobsite Safety and upon successful completion participants earn their OSHA 10 Construction Card. A CASA test is required prior to enrollment in the program.
