About This Course

Classes begin February 28, 2022, and end June 8, 2023.  Classes meet  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 15-weeks, 150 hours.

Training is held at RCWP’s Vocational Training Center, 555 Moshassuck Valley Industrial Highway, Central Falls, RI 02860 (for GPS use this address: 2 Crow Point, Rd, Lincoln, RI 02865 we are across the street from Fortune Metals).

The BCTELL (formerly VESL) pogram is a 15-week basic carpentry career training program for participants who demonstrate intermediate English Knowledge and is designed to prepare job seekers looking for a career in residential construction or upskill current construction workers.  With an emphasis on contextualized English as a Second Language Training, participants learn Construction Terminology, Construction Math, Hands-On Basic Carpentry Training, Jobsite Safety and upon successful completion participants earn their OSHA 10 Construction Card. A CASA test is required and will be scheduled at no-cost to applicants  prior to enrollment in the program.

150 Hours over 15-weeks in fully equipped training facilities.
